25 Weeks Pregnant

Here we are week 25! I swear the days are just flying by. My favorite part of a new week is getting all the updates on my phone from the pregnancy apps. I love reading what is going on with my baby this week. This week she is the size of a cauliflower. WOW! Growing more fat and hair. Speaking of hair… I REALLY hope that old wives tale about having heartburn is true! They say.. if you have heartburn that means your baby is going to have lots of hair ;)
Let me tell you… my heartburn has been BAD this week! I have NEVER had heartburn before in my life and since being pregnant..well lets just say I really feel for you all out there who get it on a regular basis. My love for buffalo chicken may have to be put on hold for a little while :(

My cravings for cereal were out of control this week! I remember looking at Ryan one night and saying I really want some shredded wheat cereal. You know the kind with the white frosty sugary deliciousness smothered on top? haha yeah those! BUT I found a better alternative that satisfied my cravings just the same. Thank you Kashi cinnamon harvest!
So good!

If you follow me on Pinterest you have probably seen my nursery board and know I add a million things on there every day. This week I really focused on what we want to do for our little princess in her nursery. I am so excited about seeing our vision come to life! We wanted it soft and pink and girly! I love how many ideas Pinterest has and I have found so many cute Etsy shops that I can order from. I can't wait to show you guys her nursery when we have it all completed!
Some Pinterest inspiration :)

24 weeks pregnant

I cannot believe I am 24 weeks pregnant! The weeks are really flying by and before we know it our little princess is going to be here. I spend the days wondering what she is going to look like! It intrigues me so much. I do know she is going to have some very blonde hair :)
I have loved every minute of this week! I have been able to remain active and healthy during my pregnancy! I continue to workout every single day with The 21 Day Fix and making healthy choices when it comes to my meals. I am still drinking my Shakeology every day! It really helps me with my sweet tooth right now!

Some workouts from The 21 Day Fix :)

We also did some shopping this week! It was exhausting but so much fun! We ordered all her nursery furniture and picked out bedding. I cannot wait to show you guys what we have planned for her room! AHHHH I get so excited just writing about it! I will tell you its going to be PINK!!! I know it will become my favorite spot in the house <3

This week I feel like I started to POP! I just woke up one morning and my belly was BAM! I am loving it though! I really do love watching my stomach start to pop out and knowing my little one is growing stronger and bigger every day. I just sit back at times and realize… wow! I am growing this little person inside of me. This tiny little human being is going to look like me and my husband! Its crazy to think about! There is something so beautiful about pregnancy!

As I grow.. so does my closet ;) I love that I get to go shopping for some new pieces but I have been trying to pick pieces out that I already have that I can rock during pregnancy too! Maternity clothes can add up FAST! And they get expensive! I have invested in a few pair of nice jeans and tops but I still want to wear some of my clothes I have!
So… I just decided to shop in my own closet and piece together outfits with clothing I have in there!
For example.. the dress I am wearing in my 24 week picture below was one I have had in my closet for a while but I can still wear it so why not?! :) It's kinda fun shopping in your own closet :)

Healthy Banana Bread… Say What???!

I don't know about you guys but one of my favorite treats is Banana bread! There is nothing better than a warm piece of banana bread. I remember when I was little my mom would always be baking fresh bread and my one request was this stuff!
Since I have been trying to stay on track with my workouts and eating healthy I decided to try to track down a healthier version of banana bread. Most that I tried just did not even come close to tasting the same and disappointed me. UNTIL… I came across this recipe that I have saved and plan on using from now on!
THIS healthy banana bread is so moist, so delicious, so easy to make and husband approved ;)
There is no butter or oil. And no sugars added! So what makes it taste so good? The bananas ;) , applesauce and honey!! These three ingredients give it the perfect amount of sweetness and keep it moist!

So… the moment you have been waiting for… the recipe!!!

The recipe as I said earlier is so simple! You probably have everything sitting in your fridge, cupboard and pantry right now!

This will make 2 8-inch loaves or 1 10-inch loaf

2 large eggs
1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup, sugar, or other sweetener) I stuck with honey
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup oat flour (or any other type of flour; gluten-free, all-purpose, or whole wheat)
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (I added a little more because I love cinnamon. But you can add more or less)
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (this ends up being about 3 bananas depending on the size of your bananas)
Optional mix-ins (chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts)

Mix together the eggs, honey, applesauce, and vanilla.

In a separate bow mix together the flour, salt, soda, powder, and cinnamon and add to the wet ingredients.
Mash up your bananas and stir them into the mixture mix well

Everyones in the bowl! YAY :) Add in your dried fruit, chocolate chips and nuts here if you want.

Divide even in the pans. I made one with dark chocolate chips! I just poured the regular better in one dish and then added the chocolate chips in after for the other :)

bake about 45 minutes for two loaves or an hour for one (you can check with a  toothpick and make sure it comes out clean)

Look at how beautiful that is :) :) :)

You guys will not be disappointed trying this recipe out! Give a try and let me know what you think!
